Hydranautics Reaches Out

Please join us in lending a helping hand...

Recent World Health Organization data shows that water scarcity affects every continent and four out of every ten people in the world. Population growth, urbanization and an increase in domestic and industrial use contribute to the continuing rapid decline in this situation. Natural disasters, such as the recent Solomon Island Tsunami, further the dangers of scarce supplies and poor water quality – diarrhoeal diseases like cholera, salmonellosis, dysentery, trachoma and typhus are common in stressed regions. Poor water management leads to breeding sites for disease vectors that increase the transmission of malaria and encephalitis.

The WHO predicts that by 2025 nearly 2 billion people will be living under the minimally acceptable health access level of 500 cubic meters of water each year – unless dramatic changes are made, and made quickly.
